Hey Sarbar1 “I have been looking in your book and in some of the recipes you call for freeze dried vegtables. I was wondering if you would take some vegtables out of different packages how do you store what is left? And for how long can you store them?” 6:19:52 PM 5/05/06 “Hi Out, If you get stuff like the Just Veggie brand, it coems in resealable packaging-I just roll it down as tight as I can and seal. I have had fd veggies sit in my cupboard for over 6 months with no issue-but we do not live in an area with high humidity. If you do live in a humid area, toss in a silica gel packet :-) It will be good to go!” 10:14:02 PM 5/05/06 “Or toss in some grains of rice, less trash to deal with on the trail.” 12:37:35 PM 5/06/06 “silica gel packets are reusable ;-) You can keep using them over and over-most commercial freezedried meals have one in them-a good way to get one!” 6:53:55 PM 5/06/06
