Hey Sarbar1
I have been looking in your book and in some of the recipes you call for freeze dried vegtables. I was wondering if you would take some vegtables out of different packages how do you store what is left? And for how long can you store them?

Hi Out, If you get stuff like the Just Veggie brand, it coems in resealable packaging-I just roll it down as tight as I can and seal. I have had fd veggies sit in my cupboard for over 6 months with no issue-but we do not live in an area with high humidity. If you do live in a humid area, toss in a silica gel packet :-) It will be good to go!

Or toss in some grains of rice, less trash to deal with on the trail.

silica gel packets are reusable ;-) You can keep using them over and over-most commercial freezedried meals have one in them-a good way to get one!
