Need new glasses? fun site...

“I hate my glasses, I have had them for a couple of years now. I gave up on contacts because my work, aging eyes, and mild allergy problems made them uncomfortable, and I needed reading glasses for close work anyhow. The ones I have now are no-line bifocals, but they aren't strong enough anymore for distance :-(. It sucks getting old!

The current pair has a non-glare coating, which I learned... too late...is very non-resistant to scratching. SO I am gazing at the world through a dense pattern of faint scratches. I won't do that again.

Anyhoo, I found a cool site where you can upload your photo & "try on" different styles of frames. You have to register but it's pretty much UK so you have to lie about your address anyway. You don't have to provide your email & you can log on instantly after you register. It's very easy to use, and you can zoom your picture in and out or move it up, down, left & right to adjust the fit of the virtual glasses.

Very useful if you are blind as a bat like me - trying on new frames without your corrective lenses can be an exercise in frustration and futility. The frames I have now, I don't think are very flattering, but when I chose them I was squinting into a mirror and unable to see what they really looked like.
