Is your shaft bent or straight?
I have been looking at new paddles for my canoe for no other reason than I found a few inches of space in my garage to hang them. I have been reading a lot about bent shaft paddles. I will use them mostly on flat water. Do any of you have them and what do you think?

I have a bent shaft paddle and love it. Use it for flat water canoeing. Most of the people I have paddled with have bought the bent shaft after trying it out for the first time. I have noticed more power in my strokes when using the bent shaft.

Geeeze! If this doesn't make it to the "out of context thread" I will be surprised. Stroke my bent shaft!

Like WK says. Bent gives you more power per stroke. LOL

(Hmmm, another "out of context?")

Even when my shaft is straight, it's bent.

I used to use a double bend shaft on my old Scotty Cameron Futura putter but I had David Whitlam of Gauge Designs make me a custom anser style putter with offset hosel, 72 degree ie angle and 4.5* of loft which doesn't require a double bend. Now I use a straight.
