You've Got Mail

“Somebody's gotta say it ... so here goes.

If you email somebody, you don't have to say "So-And-So, ygm" or "So-And-So, check your mail", or whatever.

They'll see it when they check their mail!

If you're pretty certain they check trailtalk waaay more than their own email account, fine ... But even more importantly - The person who GOT mail doesn't need to be saying "Right back atcha" or "Got it" or whatever.

You know what I'm talking about. and it's arrant pretentiousness.

(arrant was the word of the day yesterday)

you know, a lot of people probably check TT more often than they check their email...and if someone sends something to someone that they want them to read right away this is a good way to let them know”

very good point sarge. i wish guys like stove stomper, y2, nigal, marko, buddha bear, violin, treebeard, mutt, bacpac, ect, would become more personal. they always somehow manage to stick to the issues on fuego topics and yet somehow, when it comes to you (and only you), people get personal.
