Arizona?

“Hi all, thinking of planning a possible trip next year in arizona to see some desert life :) What are the best places to use as a "base" that is close to lots of sightseeing/hiking?”

“Its a college town that has anything you might need at the last minute. Its centrally located with good access to the Grand Canyon South Rim, San Francisco Mountains, Meteor Crater, Sunset Crater, Wupatki Monument, Kaibab NF, Coconino NF, and lots of beautiful scenery.

Have fun but plan to carry water!”
