“Thanks to ruby's good idea, I decided to check out the Coffee Creek Watershed project preserve. It was a nice sunny day but the wind was cold so I bundled up and set out. The map maker for the trails at this place is probebly the same map maker at the Imagination Glen park............. However I didnt get tooo lost this time. I started off at a large man made pond and water fall- where the water drains into plants to be cleaned and then eventually into the creek. Along the trail which is sometimes paved with stones, crushed granite or boardwalk, there are a few interpretive signs. That explain how the preserve is being restored with native plants and habitat for critters. I saw a ton of wildflowers and some birds I have never seen before and could hear the funny "boing" sound made by bull frogs. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Just a FEW of the diffrent kinds of wold flowers I saw packed into this 650 acre preserve. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Coffee creek----- a nice little nature trail, 3 miles loop. :)” 2:02:18 PM 5/21/06 “I'm glad you liked it. I haven't checked it out myself yet but plan to soon. Had I known you were going I would have met you out there.” 4:00:42 PM 5/21/06 “Ruby, i plan to go again sometime. Its very nice. More of a gentle walk though, then anything. It would be good for snowshoeing. I jsut like it for all the wildflowers...I mean there were GADS of them. It was neat.” 5:03:11 PM 5/21/06
