Fleet Week has arrived here in the city.
Big boats and Cute guys in uniforms....grrrr
what more could a girl want?

I miss working in the city and being able to see the boats.

I helped build three of the ships docked on Pier 88 right now, the USS Kearsarge (LHD 3), USS Anzio (CG 68), and USS Ramage (DDG 61).

Hey ChuckD, if you look very carefully at the third window from the right on the Pilot House, you can see me waveing. ;-)

The USS San Antonio (LPD 17) docked on the Staten Island Stapleton Pier is another one of 'my' ships. That ship was a royal pain in the butt to get built.

I was on each of those ships during the Sea Trials ('test drives' before the Navy accepts ownership) in the Gulf of Mexico.
