My latest bright idea of where to move is the Norfolk/Newport News/Williamsburg area. That could be totally retarded, I'm not sure! But it's within about equal driving distance of my parents, Tarpy's parents, our buds in DC, and my grandparents. Not as big as DC, but still a reasonable sized city. My mom's best friend used to live in Newport News, and my sister and I would go stay with their family for a couple weeks every summer when we were kids. If my memory serves, it was hella fun then! Lots of stuff to do. Although when we drive through there on the way to OBX, I sort of do want to kill myself...hmmm.

However our lease here doesn't run out until the winter's over! Maybe I'll have more bright ideas before then...LOL.”

Hmmmm, I lived in Newport News for three years.

Its hot as hell there in the summer!
If ya like pawn shops there are lots!
(Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines)
And lots of used car lots!
(same reason, I reckon)
If you move there one of the first questions your neighbors will ask is, "What church do y'all go to?".....not that there's anything wrong with that!

Funny thing is that's where we moved to after five years in Vermont!

That is weird, MarkO! Creepy, in fact...LOL. I've recently read about the whole military town thing, but I don't remember that at all! Nor the pawn shops, nor the used car lots. All we did when I was a kid was go to the swimming pool, go shopping, to museums, and the beach.

“Driving in Philly can be tricky. When the light turns green, if you start out too quick you get hit in the side by a car running the red light. If you start too late you get hit by the cars behind you.
