i have a dilemma i'm hoping you can help me with.

i recently received an email from a TTer. They did not give a standard 'YGM' but that's ok cause i still read it, just a day later (whew!)

here's my problem:
it's not the kind of email that necessarily requires a reply, but i would like to acknowledge the fact i received it. should i just reply anyway, or put an inauspicious note like marko, got yer email in a post?
please advise.

I get that question a lot. The answer is, "it depends".

How is your relationship with this "marko"? Are you close? Have you met? Do you feel comfortable naked around him?

If you're a bit shy around marko, perhaps a simple reply would suffice. However, if you feel that your relationship is advanced enough, a polite and/or chipper "marko, got yer email" would hit the spot.

Let us know how you do with that. If marko continues to email you, and is friendly towards you, you'll know you done good.
