I have a route to paddle through the lake of Quetico Provincial Park that would take me about 3 weeks. I would like that!

Ride a bicycle across the USA in one trip.

Climb Mt. Vinson in Antarctica.

What if the Appalachian Trail had a connection across the southern and southwestern US to the Pacific Coast Trail which could be extended all the way to western Alaska then back across central Canada to Newfoundland to the AT extended north.

A closed circuit and my guess is that it would be about 16,000 miles. Lets see, at 100 miles per week, thats over 3 years except some portions would not be trekkable during certain seasons, so it would take even longer.

I'd like to backpack Australia. Also like to walk Haydens wall (sp?) in the UK.

Anywhere in the BWCA.

Canoe or kayak around the Lake Superior shoreline.

Pretty much anywhere else besides work.

Yeah, anywhere but home would be fine with me (for awhile).

i was thinking today, the difference between the NE AT and points south, is that in the southern portion you generally talk in terms of how many miles youve gone (when hiking thru). in NE, we thought less of miles hiked and more of what mountains we climbed and what sights we saw and how much time was spent out of treeline

I just would never stop trekking...the travel to the new trail would be part of the trek.
