This is fun.

Sign up on an Iranian chatroom and warn everybody that their president is crazy.

I did. It's fun!

(by the way - They already know that.)

PS - It just so happens that my new hobby of creating peace in the world involves political views, but if you have any other hobby, unrelated to mine, feel free to post it. This thread isn't fuego, just my new hobby is (politically related). I'm not sure what mapleleaf's problem is. I think it's noble to strive for world peace by causing a country to uprise against it's evil dictator before we tries to take over the world ... Better than collecting stamps.

mapleleaf - This is a 'campfire'. We all bring different interests to the table.

Perhaps you should work on your tolerance of others. I don't criticize you for the garbage you post on here about your workplace problems, so back off and stop judging me.

You saying you have taken an interest in politics (like you haven't since you have been on here) is like the Pope saying he has taken an interest in religion.

That's enough of your trolling. Take it elsewhere. Everybody was fine until you started crying. Get a life you two.

Everyone else -

Sorry about those two. Feel free to talk about any new hobby you may have. Hopefully mapleleaf and ewker won't have to approve it first for it to be ok to talk about.

I agree Sarge, "We" may be seem by some as trying to take over the world, and many people here (in this country) believe Bush is an evil dictator...

That is what you meant to say... right?

Mapes talks about two headed kittens. Sarge talks about politics. I talk about the health benefits of a shorn scrotum. We all have our hobbies. I'd no less expect Sarge to exile himself to a poli board than I would Mapes to a two headed kitten board.

This thread is so funny. A Jihad at Sarge's, LMAO. So it's a suicide bomber theme party? Some tter gets drunk and sets himself off and kills all of us???? I don't know why, but I think that's funny!

I guess I have to think it's funny after seeing this soldiers story of an attack he was involved in and how he lost so many of his buddies and had to fly in the helicopter with their dead bodies when they were rescued off this hill. It put the war right in your face while you sat safely on your couch and were glad you were there.

No one ever speaks of what the soldiers are going through, the abosolute fear and horror of what is happening to them and all around them. They are soldiers so they don't speak of being scared, so don't we don't always get the full impact of what they are going through.

I know a guy that left one last bullet in his gun when he was in Iraq just to kill himself, because the terrorist were attacking him and his men and if he was going to be captured, he didn't want his head sawed off or who knows what else they would have done to him. What made him feel like doing that? He was in intelligence and only had a handgun and his lead person was gunned down right in front of him and then all the rest of the men were baraged by gunfire by rapid shooting weapons.

Did I just ruin the lightheartedness of this thread, sorry!!! Believe in the war or not, our soldiers have to be honored!!!

Not at all lipstick. From the Jihad thing to the humor of the reality of the couch soldier vs. the active duty soldier, that was the intent (and the origin) of the original act.

I don't know, ask any soldier who comes home and they're generally pretty up front about what they went through and what their job involved. We have had two friends come home alive and know exactly what it was like for them. The one who didn't come home alive kept us filled in on what it was like for him before he was blown up. I guess after seeing one of your oldest friends pieced back together as best as possible for his funeral, people blowing others up doesn't seem funny or lighthearted.
Sorry if my sense of humor is lacking here. Its just not funny.

Don't worry about it DnB. You'll get another chance. You're "in the loop". If I had said that ... well ... look at this forum now when I DIDN'T say anything remotely like that or negative. birch and Sass will give you another chance, b/c, ... you know ... they've "met you" and stuff.
