“I have some old "Sierra Designs" things that are light, cheap, and compress into a very small bag, tops & bottoms. I think they're something like $21.95 each on sale. No one talks about Sierra Designs... but for the price / weight, they are tough to beat!”

“O2 Rainshield Rainwear is at Wal-Mart once a year. It's a microporous membrane very light jacket. You can buy them from several vendors right now for about $40 but Wal-Mart will have them for about $20 if you can find them.

cheap too - just don't use the pants if you don't want them. the set is like $20 and is sort of like a frogg toggs setup. I am pretty pleased with mine when i take it on trips where my raingear is 99% going to stay in the bottom of my pack.”
