There is a tag that says it was bought in 1967.

Whoa...that is in awesome shape!

Sears didn't distribute the most well-made guitars but one of that age and condition has to be of some value.

Who here can picture SC singing "Smelly Cat," like Phoebe Buffet.

That was probably made in Chicago by Harmony.
At one time they made 250,000 instruments per year.

As with everything else, inexpensive/cheap goods were mostly made in the U.S. up until the early '70s.

I does look relatively un-played.
You will need new strings and maybe a visit to the shop to improve playability.

That guitar is best suited for classical/Spanish/flamenco.

.....and strong and long fingernails on your right thumb, index and middle.
(indecio, medio, pulgar, si?)

I sold off my cheap guitar long ago but my wife has a black one she never uses but refuses to sell. Maybe I should try one more time. All I want is to be able to play like Travis Meeks. Thast's all.

Actually MarkO, my guitar instructor has a classical style nylon string guitar. Jazz and Folk Rock sounds really good on it.

Also,it probably will be easier to learn on.

I got my daughter a nylon strung classical guitar to learn on, smaller than full size but I forget how much smaller. It was easier on her fingers for sure but she doesn't seem to want to stick with it.
