ENS, I was thinkin' about it, but it's such a long way-away for me geographically that I'd have to take an extra 2 days, minimum, off work for travel just to do just a basic day-hike.

Since I used to live there & "done that" I decided to just scoot on home.

BUT... I'd still like to have a beer (or two, or three!) with anyone from Boston / New Hampshire area!

Clarification for ENS:

If it was fall, I'd take an extra 4 or 5 days off work to be able to partake of the fall colors that y'all have out east. That is one thing I truly miss... there is nothing like the East Coast during fall color change!

Wanderer: It would be an honor to buy the first round and hoist a few with you in the Boston area. I'm right across the river in the People's Republic of Cambridge and on the Subway Line.

Wanderer, I would certainly be honored to share a cold frosty or two with you. Where are you going to be in NH? I'd join you and pedxing in Boston, but it's nearly 2.5 hours for me.

I live very close to exit 13 off I-89. I'm about 20 minutes SSE of Hanover/Lebanon and about 45 minutes NW of of Concord. Manchester is about an hour away.

Depending on the timing, I'd be happy to meet up with Ski and Wanderer in NH - if it coincides with a hiking trip (or gives me an excuse to do one).

It's always great to see Ski and it would be gret to meet the Wanderer.

Last week in New Hampshire - a man was found hiding in the septic tank of a public outhouse, wading and crouching in human faeces. He had been caught and charged for the same offence a few years ago.

I instantly thought of you folks here.

New Hampshire is beautifull. I love it around here. It's green, clean and pleasant. I spent this weekend camping in the White Mountians. I got three day hikes so far: Mt Chocorua, Mt Oceola and Mt. Tescum (appologies in case I may have mispelled the mountains).
I have finished the WFR. I am certified now. Those two weeks at SOLO were the most intersting thing I have done in a looong time! I loved it.
Let's see what next week is bringing. I haven't really made plans for the next week, but it looks like I get a chance to meet another classic TTer tomorrow! Surprise visit :-) Something I am really very much looking forward to.

Damnit. My flight back home is next sunday. I had such a great time. Not a single boring day since I arrived in Boston nearly three weeks ago. My friend took me for a walk through town. Boston is one of my favourite US cities.
The WFR course was great. I am almost sorry I didn`t do the EMT. I would have loved to stay two more weeks and also do those clinicals. The only thing is I wouldn`t be able to keep my EMT qualifications updated and eventually would lose my certification.
Quite unexpectedly the opportunity turned up to meet another favourite TTer and here I am in famouse Rockburn! Montreal is a very laid back, pleasant city.
I`ll return to Boston in a few days and hope my US phone will work again once I am across the border.

Laze around, swim in Canaan St. Lake, hike Cardigan, visit Hanover and the art museum, Canaan Farmer's market, drift over to Lyme. We got three nights in a nice old farm house right on Canaan St. and with lake frontage in a charity auction. It was not too far from where the AT crosses Goose Pond Road.

That's so funny. I guess I never thought of Canaan being a good place to stay! It's "just" one of those places I've driven through a million times en route to Cardigan or Maine. :)

It's been years since I've hiked Cardigan.
