New Hampshire TT'rs?View MessagesLong way from home for me “I'm gonna be in Boston, then New Hampshire next week on biz... anyone up for a beer? Check in here or send me an e!” 4:58:06 PM 6/23/06 “hope you get to hike some of those cute mountains up there in New Hampshire! ;)” 5:13:27 PM 6/23/06 “ENS, I was thinkin' about it, but it's such a long way-away for me geographically that I'd have to take an extra 2 days, minimum, off work for travel just to do just a basic day-hike. Since I used to live there & "done that" I decided to just scoot on home. BUT... I'd still like to have a beer (or two, or three!) with anyone from Boston / New Hampshire area!” 5:35:35 PM 6/23/06 “Clarification for ENS: If it was fall, I'd take an extra 4 or 5 days off work to be able to partake of the fall colors that y'all have out east. That is one thing I truly miss... there is nothing like the East Coast during fall color change!” 5:43:29 PM 6/23/06 “Wanderer: It would be an honor to buy the first round and hoist a few with you in the Boston area. I'm right across the river in the People's Republic of Cambridge and on the Subway Line.” 8:49:50 PM 6/23/06 “Although Mass. is a commonwealth ped lives in the more anti-socail section” 11:20:08 AM 6/24/06 “actually, its very pro-social...ist George Bush came in a distant third in Cambridge in 2000. last edited: 6/24/06 1:59:14 PM” 1:55:15 PM 6/24/06 “Wanderer, I would certainly be honored to share a cold frosty or two with you. Where are you going to be in NH? I'd join you and pedxing in Boston, but it's nearly 2.5 hours for me. I live very close to exit 13 off I-89. I'm about 20 minutes SSE of Hanover/Lebanon and about 45 minutes NW of of Concord. Manchester is about an hour away.” 3:30:22 PM 6/24/06 “wanderer, why dont you stop in chi-town and we'll have a beer or three :D” 3:31:57 PM 6/24/06 “don't forget about the dead sox, and fabulous fenway park.” 4:37:52 PM 6/24/06 “Depending on the timing, I'd be happy to meet up with Ski and Wanderer in NH - if it coincides with a hiking trip (or gives me an excuse to do one). It's always great to see Ski and it would be gret to meet the Wanderer.” 6:19:42 PM 6/24/06 “I worked in Lebanon many years ago at the ball bearing worker's paradise. It was wicked fun.” 8:43:31 AM 6/25/06 “Ski & Ped, thanks guys, I sent you both emails with as much of my sched as I know as of now. Tues nite I'm in Littleton, NH, Weds back in Boston somewhere, not sure exactly where yet. Hey SC, I also hit Chicago now & then, we'll hook up next time I'm through there!” 3:23:50 PM 6/25/06 “Last week in New Hampshire - a man was found hiding in the septic tank of a public outhouse, wading and crouching in human faeces. He had been caught and charged for the same offence a few years ago. I instantly thought of you folks here.” 4:26:09 PM 9/08/09 “Some peepel juts like doodoo. That seems perty normel to me. My hubsand Gissmaeioux likes to eet doodoos - speshly mewl doodoos. I eet horse doodoos some times when I am walkin in the woods wher horseys was walkin in the woods to. It gets me estra engerny.” 4:32:17 PM 9/08/09 “What was nigal doing in New Hampshire?” 4:35:35 PM 9/08/09 “you guys scare me.” 4:38:44 PM 9/08/09 “Oh, you beat me too it. But, I think there is a little of Mr. Moody in all of us who keep diving back to TT (at least fuego and chatter): http://pressherald.mainetoday.com/story.php?id=280388&ac=PHnws” 10:08:18 AM 9/11/09 “anyhow, the guy was from Maine.” 10:08:48 AM 9/11/09 Ugh... “that story is really disturbing.” 11:24:51 AM 9/12/09 “ ![]() but what about the movie last edited: 9/12/09 11:11:17 AM” 11:33:47 AM 9/12/09 “New Hampshire is beautifull. I love it around here. It's green, clean and pleasant. I spent this weekend camping in the White Mountians. I got three day hikes so far: Mt Chocorua, Mt Oceola and Mt. Tescum (appologies in case I may have mispelled the mountains). I have finished the WFR. I am certified now. Those two weeks at SOLO were the most intersting thing I have done in a looong time! I loved it. Let's see what next week is bringing. I haven't really made plans for the next week, but it looks like I get a chance to meet another classic TTer tomorrow! Surprise visit :-) Something I am really very much looking forward to.” 3:11:53 PM 9/13/09 “Hey !!” 3:13:24 PM 9/13/09 “le Gremlin ? last edited: 9/13/09 2:56:51 PM” 3:15:43 PM 9/13/09 “Ah oui, le Gremlin. Je sui a la Comfort Inn en Lincoln, NH.” 3:40:16 PM 9/13/09 “Ah oui, le Gremlin. Je sui a la Comfort Inn en Lincoln, NH.” 3:40:25 PM 9/13/09 “Bow Wow” 5:04:27 PM 9/13/09 “My Canadian escort just showed up. I am out of here. Leaving to Canada now.” 8:18:08 AM 9/14/09 “Canadian Escort?? I thought he drove a Volkswagen.” 8:20:21 AM 9/14/09 “True. A volkswagen it was :-)” 6:34:08 AM 9/16/09 “Eh, Senor Gremlin!!” 6:38:31 AM 9/16/09 “Damnit. My flight back home is next sunday. I had such a great time. Not a single boring day since I arrived in Boston nearly three weeks ago. My friend took me for a walk through town. Boston is one of my favourite US cities. The WFR course was great. I am almost sorry I didn`t do the EMT. I would have loved to stay two more weeks and also do those clinicals. The only thing is I wouldn`t be able to keep my EMT qualifications updated and eventually would lose my certification. Quite unexpectedly the opportunity turned up to meet another favourite TTer and here I am in famouse Rockburn! Montreal is a very laid back, pleasant city. I`ll return to Boston in a few days and hope my US phone will work again once I am across the border.” 7:38:28 AM 9/16/09 “Yo, Euro! Is Rockburn really to idyllic paradise that The Canuck claims it to be?” 7:40:43 AM 9/16/09 “Sorry folks I am not Gremlin. I am Euro.” 7:41:07 AM 9/16/09 “No! Nothing to do with split personallity!” 7:41:34 AM 9/16/09 “Oh damnit! Be quiet now, will ya`!” 7:42:02 AM 9/16/09 “For a minute I was much better looking (and younger)” 7:42:38 AM 9/16/09 “oh Halleluya! Finaly I am me again.” 7:46:25 AM 9/16/09 “Yes. Rockburn is the mythical place of Cannucks. Pleasant, clean, organised, green, beer drinking. Tonight I was promised a visite to the famouse Rockburn pub.” 7:49:37 AM 9/16/09 “Just saw this. I should really check in w/ TT more often. I live in NH...near Hanover, NH.” 8:06:08 AM 9/16/09 “Gee Ski - I should have remembered that the other weekend when I spent three days in Canaan.” 8:29:42 AM 9/16/09 “"....spent three days in Canaan." That sounds so biblical. Pulled into Nazareth I was a'feelin' 'bout a'half past dead... The Famous Rockburn Pub?? Oh, I hate you both!” 8:33:28 AM 9/16/09 “What the heck is there to do in Canaan for three whole days? lol” 2:29:30 PM 9/16/09 “Montreal has the ballet. lol” 2:30:17 PM 9/16/09 “Euro's on the bus to Boston. I just got back from Montreal. I'll update my blog (Life in Rockburn, eh?).” 11:11:40 AM 9/17/09 “Fookin' Eh...” 11:33:06 AM 9/17/09 “Talk to you guys to-morrow.” 11:51:29 AM 9/17/09 “What the heck is there to do in Canaan for three whole days? ” lilmountaingirl 5:29:30 PM 9/16/09 Laze around, swim in Canaan St. Lake, hike Cardigan, visit Hanover and the art museum, Canaan Farmer's market, drift over to Lyme. We got three nights in a nice old farm house right on Canaan St. and with lake frontage in a charity auction. It was not too far from where the AT crosses Goose Pond Road.” 6:36:56 PM 9/17/09 “Ped, you were right in the neighborhood!” 7:16:11 AM 9/18/09 “That's so funny. I guess I never thought of Canaan being a good place to stay! It's "just" one of those places I've driven through a million times en route to Cardigan or Maine. :) It's been years since I've hiked Cardigan.” 8:28:11 AM 9/18/09
