Last year we did a ton of what we call "lazy Hikers" trips. Relaxed pace, easy trails, lots of talking.....I love them.

My friend Catzia and me hit the trail this morning, bright and early to avoid the crowds. We did Talapus Lake in Wa, in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness...a very heavily used trail. Go early see near no one, go after 10 am? You get to walk a mile to the TH.

It was pretty and short..woo-hoo!

Talapus is a low level cross between a subalpine and forest lake.

An ezy cheezy 4.4 miles rt, with 1000 ft of gain. Yeah, it probably won't work off the sirloin steak I am getting ready to grill ;-)

hee hee...betcha had a great time...one doesn't need to always go to the edge...I'm lazy myself...a nice breeze, good view and I'm not moving....why bother? LOL...

Lol..you know it finger...4 months ago I was so crippled by my meds that 1 mile was something I got excited about. I can only hope that by the end of this year I am doing 18 milers again!
