route recommendations
We're preparing for our upcoming trip to Glacier the week of July 22. As of now, we didn't get our proposed route, but there are quite a few backcountry campsites available. I'd like some recommendations if you all have time.

1. There is an option to hike from Logan Pass to Goat Haunt with overnight at Granite Park which is already reserved, then Fifty Mtn which is not, but has sites available. Total distance is 30 miles.

2. Another option is to Goat Haunt to Stoney Indian overnight, Stoney Indian to Glenns Lake overnight, spend that day either resting or exploring Stoney Indian since it's only 6.1 miles. Then Hike out. I really wanted to see Stoney Indian Pass up to Cosley lake but there are no overnights available *as of now* east of Stoney indian campground.

Day Hikes in addition to above are Grinnel Glacier, Iceberg Lake, and I'd like to do Dawson-Pitakaman Loop although one in our group may not be interested as it's relatively strenuous.

This is the first half of the trip I did last summer with Bison and PhantomSoul - spectacular scenery for the first 15 miles along the Garden Wall.

From 50 Mtn to Stoney Indian is a major hump over stoney indian pass, but its very very scenic and that portion of the eastern part of the park is really cool with up close glaciers and what not.

you can't go wrong either way.

Dang, I remember that trip report. It started out with grass, grass, grass, grass, grass. All the way to Glacier!

By the way where the heck is George? I haven't seen him post in quite a while.
