Okay, okay, I rode my bike (and didn't golf). I'm a better man for it.

Very cool Chappy. Someone is looking out for you. =)

I minature golfed last week. My cousins kept on kicking our balls in the hole instead of playing them out. And they didn't keep score.

There's probably a 12 step group that will help you with that problem.

This is basically the bike. I see it retails factory new for four Bengies. Maybe the components will make up for the fact that it is used. I don't know what kind of disc brakes it has, but it does have some really cool Shimmano push button/trigger actuated shifters.

I pulled my mountain bike out of the garage and rode it Sat on the greenway. Sunday I went to an easy (beginner's) trail to ride. While I was out there it started raining. It was hard to get any traction on the limestone slabs. To bad I forgot what all backpackers know..rocks and roots get slick when it rains. I slipped and fell a few times on the limestone.
I didn't feel to bad that I fell. There was quite a few riders who gave up also because of the slickness of the rocks. Here I thought it was just me who couldn't ride on wet limestone.

Oh well we needed the rain so I will go back when the weather is better.

Yo Ewker! Glad to hear you got some riding in. I havent been on trails in ages. I have my bike at setup for commuting lately, still loving the riding though.

A beer helps the bruises.

A friend gave me a mountain bike over the weekend. It's a Klein Attitude MC2 built about in the mid 1990's and other than needing a new back wheel it is in great shape. It has a Rock Shox SL titanium fork, Shimano XTR brakes, Stonglight crankset and synchos suspension hub. The bike is in good shape and a beautiful candy red paint job. I hope to ride it soon and see what it feels like. The aluminum frame looks stiff, so I'm assuming it'll climb well. Anyone own a Klien and how do you like it?

Sweet deal richb, I dontown a klein so I cant comment on it. I am sure it'll ride like a raped ape.

Got my new xtr brake lever and shifter combos on yesterday, they are sweeeet.

I like the XTR brake and shifter combos and have them on my Merlin. They work well and are very durable. Mine are from when they were first came out and they still work great.

I'm going to try flipping on a set of wheels with slicks on this Klein bike and take it out for a road ride first. I never rode an aluminum bike before for more than a few hundered yards. I still think it'll climb well, but be harsh on bumps at least in the tail section. The Rock shox fork seems pretty plush up front though.
