Anything near Nantahala

“Hey, I am going to be in NC this whole next week. Friday I get out of training and I was going to hang out and maybe raft a bit at Nantahala. I aknow about the Lost Mine Campground...(kinda too "occupied) are there any nice areas to camp in near there...I may end up in Clayton at Sarahs Creek.”

Anyone else heard about this project to rearrange the river?”

“Interesting. I just read in a local paper yesterday that people are talking about doing that here on the Savannah River. They'd have to practically start from scratch, though. This is one wide flat yawn of a river.”

“How the heck would they turn the Savannah into a whitewater? That'd be some interesting engineering. Of course I have no idea what it's like near the headwaters though.”
