“Im going to be near sleeping bear dunes soon and wonder if there is a campground there that I can stay the night?” 8:05:24 AM 7/30/06 “There are quite a few private campgrounds ih the area. We used to go there as kids often.” 8:49:30 AM 7/30/06 “There are two NLS campgrounds: Platte river CG at the southern end of the park, near Honor Mi. and D.H.Day CG just west of Glen Arbor. My guess is on weekends, they'll be full, until school starts? Unless, you can get up there early on a week-day? last edited: 7/30/06 9:56:48 AM” 9:53:25 AM 7/30/06 “I'll be up there in october” 10:05:13 AM 7/30/06 “You shouldn't have a problem at all then, getting a campsite in October. D.H. Day CG has 88 sites and close's Nov. 26th. Platte River CG has 179 sites/Hot showers and is open year round.” 11:26:41 AM 7/30/06 “We camped at D.H. Day Campground during the week a month ago and had no problem getting a campsite. The place was less than half filled.” 5:29:29 PM 7/30/06
