“okay, I need some help deciding where to go. I could go to Shenandoah which is basically in my back yard or drive to a highly recommended hike in the high peaks region near heart lake (indian pass and lake colden to be exact).

I was wondering what people who have been in these areas think and then I have a couple of follow up questions.

If Indian pass in the adirondacks is suggested, where should I stay the night before I start my hike?

If Shenandoah, I have no idea where to go...I'd like to go somewhere in the northern part of the region to minimize drive time. Any suggested 3 day hikes?
