So have you been dayhiking the lake region? Promised Land area, Thunderswamp Trail? Pinchot trail isn't too far from Hawley as well.

btw, I have 3 kids and I take them into the woods. Its been a while since we have gotten out, but we are hoping to hit grayson highlands in Va this weekend. weather permitting

i usually like walking the falls, dingmans,childs park. that area. promised land is nice,got there few months back

I was at Gouldsboro state park a couple weeks ago. The lake has been drained and the place is like a ghost town. An occasional car would come in with a kayak or two on the roof, but they’d find the lake empty and drive away. There are a few trails there, which are mainly a woods and swamp walk, but the best part was the feeling of having an entire state park to myself.
