Us Pennsylvania TTers are pretty active and you can almost bet on atleast one PA trip a month. I plan a lot of trips, but they're mostly 1-2 nighters. There're not many dayhikes.

I grew up in the Reading area, so I am familiar with all the hiking around there, Pinnacle, Hawk Mountain, etc etc.

The Appalachian Trail, although the most popular hiking trail in PA, is not the best. Pennsylvania has a gem of a backpacking system. One of the best in the country.

The Masten Mountain Trip is a car camping trip the last weekend in October. It's in northern PA, near Williamsport and it is sure to be a good time.”
