New Guy From TX

“Im new to backpacking and am looking for some people to go on some trips with since the only other person I personally know that wants to do backpacking is my gf. Id like to do a trip soemwhere in NM with some trees and mountains, and soem water, since where im from is pretty flat and desolate...so if anyones interested or can let me know of any good locations in my area that would be great.”

“Im from lubbock texas in the middle of the flattest,driest terrian anywhere, ever seen a western? it looks like that...thus my obsession with hiking anywhere that looks remotely close to colorado. And yea it is sad that only my gf backpacks but at least I have a gf cool enough to be interested!”

“I love Lubbock because it means I'm halfway to New Mexico. Get that hot gf out to the Pecos Wilderness before the end of September. The White Mountain Wilderness near Ruidoso will be nice through October (but ask the rangers about hunting season). I've got pictures of both in the 'pictures' section on this site.”
