Ya, I made it out ok. I hiked up the east side of 7, and around to 8, then back out. Pretty trip. It dried out after you left, but I went home anyway. Had to go get the kiddies you know. ;-)
I have a nasty purple goose egg on the back of my ankle, just above where my boot stops, from my slide, but other than that and my mangled poles I came out ok. I may try to straighten them. I don't know. They aren't really worth it anyway.”

“mean, im going to have to back out this weekend, we are helping ruby on saturday then have too much to do on sunday ourselves to make this possible :( I really wanted to do this, but CMB is right, way too much needs doing around here to winterwise the garden and trailor and I've been working too much lately to have time during the week to take care of things.”

“I am really looking forward to the KT. Really had my hopes up for some bigger stuff than most of the gorge. What trails did you have in mind? If I'm gonna bag the KT lets make it for somewhere new. Lets get some big sky stuff or monster miles. I have been really set on pushing my limits and I hate to give that up. It may be a while before the opportunity arrises again. I just have a bad feeling that this will be my last trip for a while, and I want to make it good.”
