Backpacking in and around S. Korea

“theres a possibility i'll be going to korea to teach english later this year. i was wondering if anyone had any useful info on backpacking there. i know it is a mountainous country, that is one of the things that attracted me to it. if anyone has any info or suggestions of books, websites, or any other resources, thatd be great!”

“I recommend the DMZ trail. It's fairly secure, hardly any one uses it and it's well maintained and marked. I think it's on the BackPacker top 10 in the far east.”
