He's what they call a transitional Pope.

He's old and likely to die within five years.

The Cardinals can shake the last one out of their hair and actually make a decision next time.

Personally, I kind of like a quiet Pope who keeps to himself.

Great Comment, XL!

I guess it's kind of like a president. When you have one who is all about foreign policy, it's kind of good when the next one is all about affairs back home....

You know, I just wrote that and didn't really mean to bring up Clinton. I swear.

But I think the last Pope was - to his credit - all about pressing the pedal on external issues. He was bad at running an organization. So, this guy is an organization man. And that's not so bad.

LOL...RL, I think Popes like Presidents need to stick to their DA^N Job. The President is NOT responsible for telling me how to live my life, or you for that matter. Pope's should not comment on Political or National events (except to call for peace etc). I have left churches when ministers began trying to sway elections. Their position is (IMHO) to lead us in a search for our Faith. Not our politics. Now JP had to deal with the most destructive event in human history (Communisim) in his own country. I hav eto admire how he fought for personal freedom, and how he stood for the tenents of his faith. But there were times when he did things or took public issue on items that are not in God's realm.

Hey how would you have ended up under the old plan?

courtesy of Pope Gregory back there in the 6th Century.

Pride Broken on the wheel
Envy Put in freezing water
Gluttony Forced to eat rats, toads, and snakes
Lust Smothered in fire and brimstone
Anger Dismembered alive
Greed Put in cauldrons of boiling oil
Sloth Thrown in snake pits

Sale get help....
Expressive Dysphasia
Expressive dysphasia, also known as motor dysphasia, produces a conscious and recognizable disruption of a patient?s speech production and language output. This includes the impairment of speech initiation, proper grammatical sequencing, and proper word forming and articulation. Although patients can perfectly understand what is said to them, they have great difficulty communicating their thoughts.
