So I'm in Targe' last night and what do I discover? They are selling ROADIES!!! $1.50 for premium bottled beer. Sweet. So I start off with a half a glass of vodka, and limeade while the beer is chillin in the deep freeze, then break out the Bass, then a Fosters, then Pete's Wicked Ale, and finish off with a Guinness Extra Stout. The Bass was really good. The Fosters was alright. Pete's was not so great, like they wanted to see howmany different flavors they could cram into one bottle. and the Guinness was like drinking tar. I liked it. Then I crawled to bed and slept like a baby...

I don't always drink the high end stuff though. I look at beer like different meats. A Natty Ice, or Milwaukee's Best is like hot dogs, and bologna - nothing wrong with that, every one eats them some times. Budweiser, and Miller are like hamburger. and the other stuff goest into steaks. My tenderloin (thats a filet mignon for you snooty folks) is probably the IPA from the Ram micro brewery downtown Indy though. They say it is an India Pale Ale, but it is a deep red color, and strong. So good. Well there you have it, meangreens beer philosophy.

Speak for yourself! There was a time I would drink the "bologna" beer you describe, but not now.

"and the Guinness was like drinking tar"

Never speak to me again ye blasphemer! Ye would confer a lesser offense towards G-d if thee were to criticize the taste of manna from heaven as to disparage the Guinness. Repent forthwith ye budwiser swiling swine or be burned in the fires of hell.

LMAO!
You misunderstand me.
I said I liked it. I simply meant that it was incredibly thick, and strong. I like stouts, but the extra stout was... wow, I don't know what to say... It was good.

Hey I though you were going to bed ya drunk?

Is Natty Ice a National Bohemian Beer product?

Natty Bo is the official swill of Baltimore.

It used to be local, now its just another brand name of generic cheap beer(beach beer).

Natty Bo is every bit as good as Old Millwater.

It is actually Natural Ice.
It is cheap stuff, but has something like 6.9% alc. so it sells well with the beer swillers.

aka bologna beer

Two summers ago I went through New Brunswick on into Quebec on a car camping tour.

They had Bombers and Bumpers and 40's of higher and higher percentage beer and ice beer with the alcohol percentage in BOLD NUMBERS.

These ranged about 6% to over 10%.

(Let's see.......how drunk do I wanna get............this mornin'?)
