The beaches of Bandon Oregon really are special. The perfect hard brown sand is just right for hiking for miles with picturesque rocks and sea stacks adding to the appeal of this place. Take a romantic hike at sunset or any time of the day. This place is my pick for most romantic place to hike. Here is a photo album from my trip there this month.

Very beautiful. The bird perched on the silhouetted rock is perfect. Laurel (4 years old) just looked at the photos and asked if we could go there to play on the beach. Now that's an endorsement.

Nice pics! The Oregon Coast is beautiful! I love the rocks and cliffs (I lived in Corvallis for 13 years).

Nice pictures! I agree! There is something very magical about the sunsets at Bandon. I have been there many many times and never get tired of the beach at Bandon... (It helps to live only 20 minutes away). I see the Humbug Mountain on the last picture. Did you get a chance to have fish and chips at the Crazy Norweigans?

Didn't get the chance to have fish and chips at that place. Bandon was about the only place on the coast that was clear. Just south of Humbug Mountain the fog rolled in along the coast and it pretty much put an end to views and photography except for a moment in Mendocino and another brief break in Sonoma County, California.

Wow, what a nice place! Is this a backpacking beach, or day hikes?

I'm confused Idaho Bob... I thought you had admitted on an earlier thread to USA being your troll?

I am not Idaho Bob, I am EarthNsky, but I'm posting as Idaho Bob today because he is home sick.

Day hikes. Hey, Idaho Bob, I drove through Boise this past Sunday morning. Figured you might be in church so I didn't stop. That Boise sure seems to be doing well. What has the economy doing so well there?
