“My damn cable went out at 7:15 last night so I only got to watch half of Earl.
It was a good one too. Joy had stolen a cargo truck from a store that refused to take back a $3000 TV she had bought that would not fit thru the door of her trailer.
Earl had agreed to help her sell the truck. He asked Joy what was in the truck. She had not looked.
When Earl openned the back door of the truck, Joy had driven off with a worker trapped in the back.
That's when my cable quit.
I'm sure hilarity continued.... ;-)”

“have you seen the british original? I dont know if its culture shock, where im not used to such viscous comedy, or whether the steve carrell version is just better (im going with the latter), but its not as good. good, but not as good. the characters arent as likable. for example, when they had the dundies awards at chilis, and pam bailed out michael when ppl were making fun of him, that NEVER would have happened in the british version. im pretty sure they all hate his guts and would have left him hanging”

“I tend to like the British versions of shows. their humor is more biting than simply dirty like our's tend to be. I used to love Are You Being Served?.”

“One of my favorites was way back when, when they gathered in the conference room when Mike was gone and they read some play he had written, acting out the parts. And they figured out that some dumb character in it was actually Dwight. Because while an apparent "find and replace" had been run to replace the name, somewhere it was misspelled, so was maybe "Dwihgt" and it showed up and they figured it out

I used to have a boss exactly like him-- so much so that watching that show just hit too close to home. However, after watching the Christmas show and yesterday's--this show is really growing on me!”

I watched the Christmas party episode of The Office and watched again last night. I'll probably keep watching. I can dig that kind of dry humor they use. I still don't know about Earl though. I don't think it's for me.”

I watched "Earl," then for some reason turned the TV to watch "Grey's Anatomy" and couldn't for the life of me figure out why I was watching "Ugly Betty." (in my defense, I was also washing dishes, popping corn and couldn't find my remote, with which I likely would have flipped channels)
