Once in a while u find a place on earth that becomes your very own. A place undefined. Waiting for u to bring your color, your self. A place untouched, unspoiled, undeveloped. Raw, honest, & haunting. No one, nothing is telling u how to feel or who to be. Let the mountains have u for a day.

Live each day as u would climb a mountain. An occasional glance towards the summit puts the goal in mind. Many beautiful scenes can be observed from each new vantage point. Climb steadily, slowly, enjoy each passing moment; & the view from the summit will serve as a fitting climax to the journey.

Actually, I prefer to get a series of prompts that, after about 10 minutes of pushing various keys, will result in the call being terminated without speaking to anyone or reaching anyones voicemail.

People spend a lifetime searching for happiness; looking for peace. They chase idle dreams, addictions, religions, even other people, hoping to fill the emptiness that plagues them. The irony is the only place they ever needed to search was within.

Standing at a fork in the road
You can stand there and agonize
Til your agony's your heaviest load
You'll never fly as the crow flies
So, get used to a country mile
When you're learning to face
Your path at your pace
Every choice is worth your while

W"here the preamble declares, that coercion is a departure from the plan of the holy author of our religion, an amendment was proposed by inserting "Jesus Christ," so that it would read "A departure from the plan of Jesus Christ, the holy author of our religion;" the insertion was rejected by the great majority, in proof that they meant to comprehend, within the mantle of its protection, the Jew and the Gentile, the Christian and Mohammedan, the Hindoo and Infidel of every denomination.

Believing with you that religion is a matter which lies solely between man and his God, that he owes account to none other for his faith or his worship, that the legislative powers of government reach actions only, and not opinions, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should 'make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof,' thus building a wall of separation between church and State.

A Worker Reads History

Who built the seven gates of Thebes?
The books are filled with names of kings.
Was it the kings who hauled the craggy blocks of stone?
And Babylon, so many times destroyed.
Who built the city up each time? In which of Lima's houses,
That city glittering with gold, lived those who built it?
In the evening when the Chinese wall was finished
Where did the masons go? Imperial Rome
Is full of arcs of triumph. Who reared them up? Over whom
Did the Caesars triumph? Byzantium lives in song.
Were all her dwellings palaces? And even in Atlantis of the legend
The night the seas rushed in,
The drowning men still bellowed for their slaves.

Young Alexander conquered India.
He alone?
Caesar beat the Gauls.
Was there not even a cook in his army?
Phillip of Spain wept as his fleet
was sunk and destroyed. Were there no other tears?
Frederick the Greek triumphed in the Seven Years War.
Who triumphed with him?

Each page a victory
At whose expense the victory ball?
Every ten years a great man,
Who paid the piper?

So many particulars.
So many questions.

Some of his views have changed as he’s matured. He’s politically more conservative but I wouldn’t say he’s anywhere near a Rush or anything. He like John Stewart, just funny as hell no matter who he’s rippin’ on. I even liked Miller when he was a bed wetter.
