Hopefully it will help them understand that harsh words written here are nothing more than letters on a screen, and have no real effect on anyone unless the person who the remark was directed at actually believes the remark. If you don't believe it then you know the truth and that is all one needs to be able to live his life with confidence, and be at peace. Those you come into contact with will learn the truth by seeing your deeds, and those you do not come into contact with do not matter because they have no bearing on your life.

If anyone digs deep enough to look up the Tao Te Ching and finds that this is incorrect, then I'm sorry, but I got the quote from another book: "Deep Survival" by Laurence Gonzales, which I would highly recomend to anyone not just those who seek adventure or high intensity sports. It is more about mental toughness than the physical aspects of outdoors survival. It's a fascinating read.”
