Come to think of it I really dont remember that much of an economic problem after 9/11....

Alan Parsons Project - What Goes Up.

What goes up, must come down
What must rise, must fall
And what goes on in your life
Is writing on the wall
If all things must fall
Why build a miracle at all
If all things must pass
Even a miracle won't last
What goes up, must come down
What must stand alone?
And what goes on, in your mind
Is turning into stone
If all things must fall
Why build a miracle at all
If all things must pass
Even a pyramid won't last

How can you be so sure?
How do you know what the earth will endure?
How can you be so sure?
That the wonders you've made in you life
Will be seen
By the millions who'll follow to visit the site
Of your dream?

What goes up, must come down
What goes round, must come round
What's been lost, must be found

Can you have the interests of the United States of America at heart and support the actions of the Bush Administration?

Not even close.

LOL..Lumber, just as the denial of a threat in 1939 (by the Chief Executive in the White House) gave us the horror of Pearl Harbor, Bataan, etc, so the lack of courage, or pure denial in the 42nd administration gave us 9/11

Dont forget the lack of courage on Bush's part to do battle with those who actually committed 9/11. He choose instead to war with Iraq for dubious reasons...With the US record on its wars on various causes its almost safer to be on the wrong side.

The phractured phairy tails keep on comin' Roosevelt was working hard to oppose Japanese expansionism. He definitely saw the threat, he was doing what he could to oppose both Japan and Germany, given the reluctance of the nation and the congress to go to war.

And, by the way, which President was it who wasn't very interested when he got a report that said "Al Qeda determined to attach the US" and which one sounded the alarm over terrorist threats at the start of the millenium which led to several plots actually being stopped?

Can you oppose the war and support the troops?

Every day.

Can you support George Bush and the troops at the same time?

That's more problematic.

LOL...we have already established that this is typical liberal feel good sophmoric thinking....there is no way you can support the troops and OPPOSE their mission.

Its the old feel good stuff quite similar to the White Supremacists of the 50's who would mouth "Wa'lll I ain't got nothin gainst them N--Gers but I just don't want em in my world."

That duplicitious thinking is typical of liberals....but lets play the game for JUST a second.

Show me ONE Liberal leader who "opposes the War" yet has NOT done everything they could to damage the mission, from insulting our allies (which could have closed supply lines) to threatening to cut off funding to insulting the very troops who are there.

The fact is whether they have or HAVE not publically been insulting they have participated at least in ignoring the attacks on our heroes.

LOL...I guess the best reference line is,"YEAH we support the troops, but you wouldn't want one of THEM marrying your daughter." (LOL)

Stomp, a classmate of mine was at the local base a while back and we ran into each other during a party. He told about a reporter who was assigned to them in one of the major battles.

The guy started out as the quintessential lamestream media reporter...then about the end of the first week he began to see WHAT our heroes were doing. The reporter was supposed to be there for a month. After the second week he came back to the unit and apparently he was being pulled out becuase his "stories" were not appropriate.....

I don't think the Chicoms are exactly supporting THIS administration...now there is a Previous Admin and it looks like the Junior Senator from New York may have a hook up with the Chicoms...but only she/Loral Aerospace/Hsu/Gore/etc would REALLY know.

Serious non fuego question. How do you define support?
birch
1:32:50 PM
10/26/07

Um pretty much the way I have always defined it. As you know the Soldiers do not make the decision to go or not go. They do what they are ordered.

So support to me means you do NOT demean their mission, the execution of it, degrade them and compare them to Nazis, or other scum through history. You do not attempt to cut off their supplies, you do not hide behind false patriotisim with sillyass comments like the Support the troops but oppose the war (their mission).

The Soldiers see this and even THEY will tell you that the two faced libbies are crap. If you notice as we get closer and closer to what will be a victory (heck UBL was berating his towelheads in Iraq) the Dems will become more and more strident.

IF and when we win you can expect the Pelosi's and Clinton's and Hagles to be the FIRST in line to suck up to the victorious troops....

How do you define support?
How about calling the troops predators, murderers, and liars? Is that support?

non fuego SS.

I was serious about the question, I just finished reading a book that discussed this and am curious as to how people define their support.
