I live within RPG range of the mean streets Baltimore City......well, maybe light artillery range.

I have an interest in seeing social issues solved and hope for economic success and growth for all of the citizens of my region and other urban areas as well.
Jobs, health care, public transportion and education are lacking for some.

If you watch Foxnews or listen to any of talk radio hosts, or read the posts of some of the more moronic posters on here, the liberals want to surrender America to Bin Laden, or the French or whoever, give your money to black, lesbian midgets, they want to destroy American business and are hate-filled rioters in general.

Seriously, spend an hour listening to any one of these things and you'll hear the word liberal more than almost any other.

I have to say that the likes of Carl Rove have put up this straw man so effectively, and it is followed up so relentlessly, that admitting to being a 'liberal' just sets you up to have all BS put out by the likes of Limbaugh and O'Reilly thrown at you mainly by those who are incapable of constructing an argument themselves.

People need to find reasons why they are for and against certain things. There's only one or two people with right-wing views on here who are able to explain why they feel as they do about certain issues, and I have a lot of respect for them because they've thought things through - others just seem to trot out what their talk radio host told them to think today, complete with accusations directed at the 'silly libbies'.

I think Trent Lott was harshly treated - but that was by his own party - and it was a stupid stupid thing he's said. Republicans saw him as a liability and got rid of him.

And again he's there with his Clinton obsession. But then again I was amazed he retained widespread public support after looking the American public in the eye and lying to them. I'm not sure whether he should have been removed from office, but I was certainly amazed he continued to poll well.

Clinton never became the liability that Lott did, mainly because of the peace and prosperity seen during his presidency. If you had any understanding of politics you'd know why Lott went and Clinton stayed- it wasn't because Republicans good Democrats bad.

Carl Rove - well I didn't say it was all down to him, I used him as an example.

But you see what he did - tried to tie my views in with the likes of Al Sharpton and Ted kennedy, accused me of being part of some sort of organized movement, mentioned Bill Clinton is a liar, that 'liberals' don't punish liars, added the word spineless to represent my 'movement' and so on.

XL, I wouldn’t hire any of those professors for ANY position of responsibility. I will not support any institution that gives them jobs. Nifong makes a not undeserved target but they’ve made him the sole fall guy. Notice how, like Jessie and Al (once again), those professors have managed to fade into the background? That way the leftists can, once again claim, “But we had good intentions.”

One of my close friends got a call from a member of the minority community becuase he had heard the White Commisioner called the Black commisioner "boy". The caller went bananas over the need for a recall etc.

Then when he found out the Black commisoner made the call he did a Rosan Rosanna Danna...."Never Mind"..>That my friends is RACISIM> Pure and simple....One race deserves primacy in comparison to another race....if one race can do it..the other should be able to get the same break.

Years ago I worked for a Rental Car firm. A close friend was running a REALLY successful office. One morning his District Manager showed up. That afternoon my friend gets called into the office and handed a "resignation" in it he was told, 'Sign it we won't prosecute."

Apparently Money had disappeared from the office account. BIG MONEY. The DM wanted my friend to take the rap. My friend said, "Hell no". The DM gets up and opens the door and the Police were there.

The DM has my friend arrested, taken down to the jail and booked for Felony Theft.

Luckily the detective they assigned was a bit more professional than the average. He began to make a REAL case. He found out that while anyone could make deposits...only the Manager (my friend), the District Manager, and the SALES Rep, could make withdrawals.

The Detective said at first it looked really bad, since most of the BIG checks all had my friend's signature on them. Then they started looking at the Cancelled checks. It almost looked like they had been signed as a group. The ink on the amount, date and "to:" category was different (some even a different color).

When they began checking they found that during the first hectic week the Dist Manager and the Sales rep had convinced my friend to sign some checks so they could make "supply purchases" for the office. They never did...they used them as "free money".

End of the story, my friend gets released (after 3 days in Jail) the DM and the Sales Rep get charged but make restitution. I don't know Marky Mark if you know the SICK feeling of being improperly charged...but my friend let me know.”
