Yahoo Mail Beta

“Is anyone else having trouble getting into their "new and improved" yahoo accounts?”

“Not so far...what trouble are you having?”

“I think it may have crashed. Are you on the new version that is kind of like Outlook? I try to check my mail, and all I get is that little bas@#*d on his green bouncing ball, and it says "done" at the bottom of the window. Grrrr! I knew I shouldn't have switched.”

“are you saying it's as seamless as webshots "update"?

I have yet to make the switch.”

“don't bother dude. Even when it does work it is incredibly slow, and you almost have to have it in full screen, and not a window for it to be usable.”

“Man I think I still have the old one....”

“does yours look like Outlook, where all your mail is listed in one window, with a preview pane below that?

“And here all this time I thought it was me. That program is really in need of serious work. There are lots of things I really don't like about it. The speed is only part of it.”

“Ya, you need to be able to put it into a window, and scroll the whole page. That is one of my biggest gripes, but that would probably get them in trouble with Lord Gates.”

“I said no thanks so I still got the old one.”

“I think it is ok... in some ways it is better than gmail, and in others it can use work.”

“I've gone back to the old one. The beta will hang way too long.”

“It works great for me (cable modem). I am having a hard time figuring out how to move messages into a folder and I don't like that I can't go through, click the messages I want to delete and hit delete once. I like the new tab system and that I can reply all easier.
It's definately going to take some getting used to.”

“I'm staying with the old one. I tried to click into their beta and it took forever and so I clicked out. Thanks for the beta on beta, meangreen.”

“I changed to the new one. It looks like a lot of the 'free' email providers are going this route. Hotmail started their beta several months ago, and Yahoos seems to actually work a lot better, at least with Firefox. It seems to work fine, but I'd hate to see it on a dialup connection.”
