Just curious... what did you see in the Peters Mt trailhead area that looked like a nice place to carcamp the night before?

i didnt see anything. picketts a nice place to camp, but might be too far out of the way for the shuttle. it seems like the guidebook mentions something. ill check it out in a minute here”

im thinking the one that gives lyme disease is very rare in the south, more of a new england thing. am i correct in this?”

“mostly the deer tick as i understand it, a small red thing. if it was a wood tick (large and black) there is less cause for concern as i understand it. not sure about local.”

“the one I found on my finger was a deer tick and the one I pulled out of my shoulder was one also. I have not found any more on me and I gave Angie a tick shampoo bath just to be sure though I use Frontline on her.

I would keep an eye on it CB. If it was small and dark brown/black with it could have been a deer tick.
