I went to the local United Methodist Church silent auction and supper last week and boy, did I make a score!! People sell their "unwanteds" for the most part in the silent auction.

I can now do a totally outdoor sports-themed cache if I'd like. For a mere stinkin' $2.00 I got a box including a catch-and-release fishing ornament; a halibut hanging decoration; a duck ornament; a painted glass duck; two geese ornaments; a pheasant pin; and a Cabela's metal pin of their wildlife display.

I saw it and just KNEW I had to have it. Perfect cache contents. And -- did I mention all that was $2.00???!? I placed the only silent bid on it.

Guess I need to plan where to put my outdoor sports-themed cache! :-)

You know the difference in a Methodist and a Baptist?

The Methodist will actually say hello to you in the liquor store.

Lizs, When ever I get a chance to go to a trade show I scarf up all the freebees at the boths. You get the latest in advertising gadgets and its all free.

The Jews don't recognize Jesus
The Prodestants don't recognize the Pope
Two Baptists won't recognize each other in a liquor store

As I was saying...
It's funny how quickly you can lose control of a thread. It's spozed to be about geocaching, now it's all about Baptists. I, for one, would be happy to find that cache. (I'm up to 19 now, Lizs)

I guess it comes from a divorce.

LOL, yeah, I mean HOW did a geoaching trinket thread degenerate into such an awful topic as the Baptists???? LOL!

RoxyRuby, keep this in mind for the spring. Around 60 caches at the Mark Twain Lake, about a half hour west of Hannibal, MO. This is where I was trying to talk Flash into having a backpacking trip this year (but he went and got married instead. phhht!!!!) Nice trails, although this event is elsewhere in the unit.

It's March 23-25. Hey, my anniversary date rolls around on the 17th and I'll actually have some paid vacay coming again!

dryfoot and I did 30 caches in one day at an event this fall. This event has both a competition and just letting people go find caches. I'd be up for the latter.

Keep it in mind, caching sister! :-)
