New York, next week?

“My 18 y/o son is performing at a popular club in Manhattan next week (Friday night). He's opening for a woman who is sometimes billed as a soulful rocker with Led Zep. and Hendrix as influences. Cover is 8 dollars. I'm thinking of going because I want to give him some support for his biggest solo booking so far in NYC.

It would be even more fun to go - and would clinch the deal for me - if it would be a good chance to meet up with some of the TT'ers in the area, turning some on-line friendships in to real life ones, and seeing some who are already real life friends.

He starts at 8:30 - they each perform for 40 minutes. I think there is more afterwards. It's not far fromt he Village - so I might try to get dinner first.”
