I hate my job

“Because we are one specialist short in my branch, I have been performing service work on top of everything else I have to do.

Since last TH night, I have worked 4 nights, getting home at 3AM. This doesn't mean that I didn't work during the day. I have about 75 hours in during the last week.

I am so tired of this #&%!$, I could scream. I really don't know how they expect me to do it all. On top of that, the President of the company is coming down next week to "review the branch". I hear one #&%!$ing peep about what needs to be improved, and I am saying "#&%!$ this".”

“OH GOD...this is hilarious...they have gotten a new TEMP for the front desk...she can hit the ALL PAGE button but she cannot talk on the speaker....so the entire office hears the BEEP BEEEEEP of the speaker on their phone going off...then there is some breathing, a pause, a cough....breathing, paper shuffling...then the phone goes dead. Then in a minute....BEEP BEEEEP....breathing, coughing, pause.....phone dead.....”

“We have a new girl too...I'm not sure how it is going to work. No offense to any of you youngins...but she is 25 and dresses 25..and acts 25. You have to understand that "we are a professional organization" I got busted last summer for wear capris that are too short...I'm wondering when the boss is going to say something about her pigtail knots and van tennis shoes!! (btw I know not all 25yr dress the same but for sake of explination) OH and did I mention she knows everything????”

i hear ya...mine just pawned something off on me today that his boss assigned to him last week and it's due end of day

“The Hospice I work for is expanding it's services and has nearly doubled the number of home health aides it has. This means us noobies are sitting around waiting for new intakes to get a full caseload. While I wait for a caseload I help out in the office doing filing.

I spent the day going through case files checking every single page to make sure they are all for the same person. I got through 14 cases and there are a total of 511 cases.

“SS, for sure he is going to be demoted. New guy took over the buisness. He's out of work untill Monday, they he will find out if he can even come back. He's worked there 15 years.

“I went to mikes job to pick his check up for him on my way to work today so that I could have a word with this "new" boss as well. As I was waiting at the front desk, there were several spanish speaking americans apply for jobs and the receptionist was saying that they were doing some hireing. When I heard how much thier pay would be....I wanted to scream. How the hell can anyone survive on that little? A lot of the people there are friends, and they gave me words of support but we all know why the new boss is demoting, and fireing employess.
The moment I set eyes on the new boss, I got the creeps. He was dripping with creepitude. The old owner was there as well and said it was out of his hands. The new boss said he was doing what was best for the company but that my husband can return on the day shift for LESS pay on monday. A lot less pay.”

“Lovely. I'm guessing less than what he was making before the promotion?

Sounds like time to find something else for sure.

“Yeah, nothing like being rewarded for 15 years of service with getting shafted.

Well if it's any consolation I went through something very similar to this last year. End result, new job, lots more money, bigger house and a move to a place with much more hiking.”

“I like my pay and benifits but I hate my job, its upper management, and the chance of promotion is virtually nile.”

“I know how he feels. I hung onto my old job for a year and half with promises that a big increase was coming from the state. I waited and waited. Final I got my new contract. A $4 raise! Wow! But the hitch was I got cut in pay for six hours of my shift when my clients were asleep. After averaging it out my $4 raise turned into a $2 an hour pay cut. But like I always tell people, don't stay in a job unhappy and complain. Get out there and shake what yer momma gave ya and get the better job! :)

“I have discovered something. Because I have to work every other weekend at my new job my hiking has dropped by at least 75% but I don't mind much at all. The other day I realized I like working at my job nearly as much as hiking.”

“don't particarly care for my job whatsoever..but I'm SOOOOOO grateful to have it. It helps to know that this job is only temporary--a stepping stone, if you will. I have to go back to school in order for me to have a job that I'm going to ....even remotely like.”
