Winterfest 2007...looking good

“I just got off the phone with Susan and it's looking like we will be doing Winterfest 2007 this year. We still have a couple things to finalize before we post it, but things are looking good.

I should know for sure by next week.

Pray for snow....but not too much.

“LOL....I don't know if you were aware of it, but we got absolutely hammered by last nights storm. The rain, hail and winds were so strong it was setting off car alarms in our area.

“Are there dates yet? Is this traditionally at New Years, (or around Martin Luther King Birthday weekend)?”

“The dates are one of the things we're working on. I need to cache firewood and supply's for this and it takes a couple trips to do that. Rodney may not be able to get up here in time to help haul loads so Susan has offered to help. She needs to get confirmation from work about what days off she can get....working as a nurse in IC makes that a little difficult, but she's working on it.”

“Steve - Once you have the dates nailed down I will have a better idea if I can come up there. I may end up having to drive up for the day or something. I know...a long way for a day hike. :o)”

“OK, I'll be there if this happens. Dang, I hope it comes off. And I hope it is at Lassen this time. I want to do some exploring there. But most of all I want to see some old friends and maybe make some new ones also.
