Hey folks,

Let's remember we shouldn't start campfires while on the A.T. We should stop driving our SUVs on the A.T. also. And dang it people, turn off the air-conditioners while hiking the A.T. ... it's destroying the A.T. And please please please stop using hairspray on the A.T. It's destroying the ozone.

If all of that sounds silly to you, then maybe this should have been FUEGO because this article is not about the A.T. and hiking.

LOL...you know it just hit me. The Enviorwackos are kinda like the old PEACE LOVE AND SURRENDER TO THE SOVIET crowd.

Remember in the 19670's to 1980's when the subject of the Soviets and the Arms Race would come up. The same maggot infested long haired crowd would say,"If we disarm the Soviets will do the same."

Then AMERICA'S GIFT TO MANKIND Rondalus Magnus came on the scene...the libbies screamed when he joked about bombing Russia...then in 1989..it happened. The Sovs crashed like an ALGORE theory of Global Warming. And lo and behold we discovered...the peace movement was an attempt to disarm us so they could destroy us...WALLLLLLLLL SHAZAM WHATCHAKNOW. The libbies immediatly switch to..."DESTROY THE ENVRIONMENT EVIL AMERICAN banter..." Same song different verse.

So find a new tune, you guys are stuck in the 1960's and it is fading fast.

... this month to purchase a key 97-acre tract of land on Hump Mountain in the Highlands of Roan. The property borders the Pisgah National Forest and is near the Appalachian Trail. Protection of the property will preserve Cranberry Creek, a trout stream, and important habitat for the state-significant Virginia Big-Eared bat. The Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy must purchase the property by the end of the year or it will be lost to developers.
