“Harry, I have around 31 lb without water. Dammit, I was hoping for a little less...but I looked through my pack at least 10 times, just don't know what else to take out.

I feel on a long trip like this you really do need rain gear. I prolly could've put more thought into my food and reduced weight that way, but too late for that. already mailed off.

“hey all--just wanted to let you know my daughter and I saw, ate with, joked with, drank with and hung out with gem and jackstraw at Vermillion Valley ranch on July 27 and 28. they were alive and well, pretty hilarious, and Gem had restrained her hand from killing Jack. “Bowlderman, just returned from a trip in Northern Yosemite, Sonora Pass to Tuolumne along the PCT, mosquitoes weren't bad at all. Pleasantly surprised after being ran off the trail by them two weeks before. Enjoy your trip!”
