New Keens

“I have the Keen Newports I sometimes take as backup hikers/camp shoes. Kinda heavy for that but hiked the Telescope Peak trail in Death Valley in them and felt fine. Took them as a backup on a 66 mile 7 day trek in the Gila Wilderness in case my boots failed with the 200+ river crossings.”

“I know I am a traitor to this thread but I bought a knock off of the Newprt H2 at Target for < $18.00 last week.

They are black and virtually indistinguishable from the Keens brand.

I have ridden my mountain bike in them for several miles, Hiked a little in them, and did a 22+ mile kayak trek that tested them in water for 36 hours and walking on rocks.

They held up beautifully.

This might be an option for those who want to save 70 bucks and need a pair of shoes to really abuse.”
