“I heard a really depressing interview with Thomas Friedman on Imus on my way to work. Friedman called it a failure and felt we should get out ASAP.

Anyone else hear Friedman lately?

I'm thinking there is still much to salvage. I'd like to think the IRG report offers a genuine way forward, but there is so much gloom right now. Other than the IRG (and maybe McCain and Biden) it seems that everyone is either totally gloomy or in denial.”
