Good deed for the day

“Well today while just walking through the "other" side. I saw where someone was needing a ride or information on a shuttle from Knoxville Airport to New Found Gap. So, I said wth and offered a ride. Dude was a pilot for Delta and I picked him up today at TYS and dropped him of at NFG. He should be to icewater spring by now.

Offered to pay, but I told him to do a good deed down the road and we would be square. Sometimes, just doing a good deed can make your whole day better.”

“That's something I enjoyed doing each March, when HPM was hiking in the Smokies or surrounding area with the scouts. If I saw a hiker at the visitor's center trying to get to Newfound Gap, or trying to get down from NG for that matter, I'd give 'em a ride. Been stranded sort of, and hated it.”

“I'm still in email communication with a backpacking hitchhiker from Scotland I picked up in Yosemite and took to Lee Vining for supplies...he spent a total of 3 weeks by himself wandering around the Northern part of Yosemite...you can meet really cool people offering help and make new friends all over the world...if I ever get to Scotland I know someone who could really show me around...”
