I'm all up for snowshoeing to a 14er summit in April. July is Mt. Rainier.

Check out Big Bend, Canyonlands, not too hot. Other places out west will still have a ton of snow. Spring ascent of Mt Hood. Take an avalanche beacon, rope and rescue gear, wands, avalanche probes and pray for good weather. And don't fall into Devils Kitchen.

Snowshoeing to the base? Or up the entire mountain?

Shoot, if avalanche conditions aren't bad, I'd be up for a snowshoe of a 14er.

Fine print: my defintion of bad conditions is subject to change and not that of an expert. :)

Bierstadt wouldn't be bad. Elbert and Massive are doable too.

Yeah, Bierstadt's definitely doable, and maybe even Quandry? I'd go with Beirstadt, didn't Roam already do that one in winter, with EddieS maybe?

How long will you be out here ENS? you'll definitely want to acclimitize first.

I don't know if Roam climbed Bierstadt, but Eddie and I did.

Elbert would be good.

I haven't decided yet. It'll be a long weekend.

With Elbert I definitely recommend getting up as far as you can the night before and making camp. I've attempted it 3X in winter so far with yet a summit.
