Hey Snowpeak
I'll take care of them alright...

Really really good care...

Oh yea, he he he, I'll take care of them, that's for sure.

BTW, did you know Steve banned my butt from the other site for using the words "Butt Plug"? A perfectly legitimate medical term.

And that Christmas Tree area sounds cool, thinks I'll go check it out-thanks.

Goggles, oh great tip! I'll make that note. Can't find my balaclava but if we are going to find a way to stop for gas and accessories....please

In the meantime I'll keep looking for it.

tent, check
sleeping bag, check
snowshoes, check
1 duck, check

I wasn't sure if EddieS was banned. Anyway, you are just misinterpreted by others...LOL!

I am glad you can say buttplug here...better then gerbalbuttplug, I guess. Now that has more imaginative implications. Anyway, I will leave so you can keep this thread about mountaineering. LOL!

See ya in the hills, sometime.

Oh, before I forget, the xmas tree area is neat, at least in my view. I still have Missouri Peak to do, but not today.

just sos everyone knows.....

The area around Mt. Elbert and Mt. Massive have been declared a 'Buttplug Free Zone' by the National Forest Service.

This concludes this public service announcement - we now return you to your regularly scheduled trolling.

Packing Planning Thought
You might want to think about how you can convert your backpack into a summit pack. Some have removeable lids that make fanny packs, I plan to just compress my pack as small as possible. Once I packed my camelback MULE to use for a summit pack.

You'll want to be able to carry emergency gear and lunch and water up on the summit bid, but you may not want to carry your backpack.

Just a thought.

TWO DAYS!

You're not gonna turn into a BIG MOMMA on us, are you?

Roam thinks of everything. And I've packed everything. Eeeek! It looks like I'm going for a month long European vacation!

Shoot I'm used to having multiple bins and a support vehicle :-)

don't know if anyone but the Denver crew will see this...

just talked to the Leadville Forest Service office and Leadville had a blizzard on Monday night, but everything that was on the ground in town has melted and the road to the South Elbert trailhead is clear as well. (Leadville sits at 10,200 feet - everybody there is high all year long).

:)
