“The decision to drop the bomb on Japan was the right call and I doubt you will find many who would try to dispute that choice. The results of that choice were far more horrifing then we ever imagined and continue even now. Yet inspite of the fact that we posses weapons far worse then the h-bombs used on Japan and inspite of the horror that always results from war we still insist on trying to solve mankinds problems with military force.

I wont withold my sympathy from the japanese people. I am just saddened that we learned nothing from it.”

The States voted to join the Union... The citizens had the opportunity to join (or not). There are "States Rights" afterall...

Yet, when those same States decided they didn't want to be part of the Union any more... well... that's too bad!

Sure we do, as do many other countries. The only way the pirates are getting to the bigger ships is through the use of "motherships", otherwise the pirates don't have the range. Target those with UAVs or what have you, and threats to international trade would be sharply reduced, and we don't have to expend enormous $$ eliminating the problem entirely.”
