Really...so how do you figure the same thing? OH sorry Libbie logic...thats right achievers are EVIL....LOL...I wonder how the American Idol crowd would respond if they found a Government law that said they would limit basketball players in the NBA to 20 point a game. Everything after that would be given to the players with lower scoring. (LOL)...you know since the super stars were just lucky with their skills.

Would some players get their 20 points then stand on the sideline and cheer their teammates to get 20? The LA lakers are a much better team now that Koby sits back and feeds someone else some glory.

LOL...don't get a cold from the breeze as the REALITY flys past your head....

Sale, the fact is those superstars PRACTICED day in and day out to get good...they worked hard. It is no more "fair" to them to penalize them for their hard work than it is to penalize the Mulitmillionaire who got it by 80 hour weeks.

XL displays perfect strategy for asymmetric warfare.

Pick a battlefield that you can win on.

So, let's just forget that little Iraq thing and Republican deficit spending and talk about taxes.

Nothing like that GOP comfort food.

LOL...we are winning in Iraq (compared to say your little battle on POVERTY).

As for picking the battlefield this was a thread on losing our rights.....and I thought it would be fun to point out the vast number of rights the libbies have happily carved away (with nary a blip from the leftist in the American Criminal Leadership Union) and these are REAL RIGHTS in the Constitution...not created by some creative Judge.

How much fun it is to learn how the extremes are so effective at guiding the masses. When the wind blows the fruit at extreme ends of the limbs are the first to fall and be eaten.

Laqtis claims a false dichotomy which he could easily prove with one simple reasonable third alternative, if his position was valid.

I challenged him to ccome up with a single reasonable third alternative.

Despite a lot of typing and big words, he has failed three times to come up with a single possible third alternative. Because there is none.

Three strikes and you are out. No false dichotomy.

"Laqtis claims a false dichotomy which he could easily prove with one simple reasonable third alternative, if his position was valid."

This is quickly becoming an Argumentum ad nauseam as well (oh, big surprise!).

One more time. Bifurcation was already proven, from the example I gave to Stickmanwalking.

It was clear that you used the fallacy. I do not have to present a third alternative, or even a rebuttal beyond citing your use of the fallacy. That's all I have to do in the matter.

My attack on your claim is valid and most effectively knocks it out of the water, because it factually reflects what you tried to pass off a fallacy as a valid argument.

I am done at this point and I am fully confident with my responses and support on this matter.

Please have the last word.

LOL..Laqtose can be very intolerant...LOL one of the advantages of the IVY Covered Womb of Academia is the professor can say....2+2 = 53 and you might as well learn to regurgitate it on command.

It is way too difficult for them to have to conceptualize whether it is logical or illogical. Kinda like the hilarious stories of ALGORE teaching....students said he would get up their and spout his ALGORE theories..(if he showed up) and you took it in, and regurgitated it on Exam day.

Laqtation is so looking forward to the day he can take a barbie head he finds in the back yard and say it is Homopithicus Spiff Arino and the students have to accept it as fact.

Hey, if I can break out of this fun little argument for a moment, I just want to thank all the regular fuego posters for a great 2006.

Q, V, Stove, Prosecutor, XL and everybody of all political persuasions! It is a lot of fun to sling the mud with and at you all. I hope we can continue throughout 2007.

I would have sent a Christmas card, but I don't know if any of you really exist.

I really exist.

I get Christmas cards from forum members. I have posted my real name, address, and phone number in these forums, and go on a lot of forum hikes, including the next one up on the trip page. Reformed Lurker, you should try backpacking on a forum hike some day. You would like it.

You know, Prosecutor, that's a good idea.

I used to dayhike with the Michigan crew a lot, but then I got married, bought a house and, well, you know how that goes.

This summer is looking pretty empty, though.

I don't want to worry anyone, but that poster clearly has Masonic overtones.

I'd bet that the Trilateral Commission had something to do with it. And the BCS, too.

Four strikes Laqtis. My position is that the administrations current methods of criminally prosecuting terrorists in the courts is clearly the best way to proceed. After repeated challenges to support your position with a single, reasonable way that was better, you could not come up with an answer,...........because there is no better way to proceed.

"relax, you can trust big brother!!!"

Most streets in the United States are a public area. We all pay for the upkeep and creation (in some situations, destruction) of this infrastructure. In addition, we pay for these public areas to be secure, which includes visual monitoring of these public areas.

That poster visually reflects that public areas are watched (to serve as a deterrent to would be "evil-doers") and we have the same here in our own United States; there's just a lack of posters to tell the people this fact.

The United States government should facilitate the creation of a "honest" and effective visual monitoring system through out our major cites, towns and other public areas that taxes are paid on.

This system should at the very most cover every intersection, crosswalk, or other public area where humans gather. While a major under taking, the creation of this system could provide many job opportunities for every community these systems are set up in, not only through the construction of the system, but also through maintaining this system.

Other benefits exist as well. For example (and not limited to) EMS, Police and Fire would have pin-point accuracy regarding location of a citizen situation. Shipping companies would be able to have real-time access on the status of deliveries. Traffic signals could become real-time flexible to deal with traffic issues (thus, saving gas as well).

Of course, one of the main benefits of this system is in the deterrence of terrorist aggression on American soil.

While not a "cure-all" vis-a-vis America and terrorism on domestic soil, a cohesive and "honest" visual monitoring system of public places in America is a step in the right direction to keep America safe and secure; this system should be implemented as soon as possible.

Why not let the market decide? If a show is popular and in demand, keep it on the air. If it isn't, replace it with one that is. If you don't like the angle a broadcasting corporation presents, start your own.
