“What's everyone's favorite? I bought some Ice Breaker boxers and a trail shirt. They are suppose to be odor proof and wick moisture really well. Ice Breaker also has some socks that I'm looking into.” 11:44:15 PM 1/09/07 “Thorlo Expedition and Smartwool” 11:55:04 PM 1/09/07 “I'm strictly a Smartwool girl. :)” 6:20:05 AM 1/10/07 “Thorlos in warmer weather and Dahlgren in cooler weather.” 6:44:56 AM 1/10/07 “Smartwools” 7:00:49 AM 1/10/07 “Bridgedales” 7:39:05 AM 1/10/07 “i have some socks made from corn” 7:57:29 AM 1/10/07 “Ice Breaker (New Zealand) make kicka$$ merino wool products. I got a shirt as a gift, but can't afford to buy their stuff. I use Ultimax sock liners and wool socks from MEC.” 7:59:10 AM 1/10/07 “whatever i git for xmas.” 10:54:39 AM 1/10/07 “I go to the Dickey's outlet store. Poly socks are two bucks a pair. They have been as good as anything else I have used.” 11:07:00 AM 1/10/07 “Thorlos synthetics. They rock. Anyone else read the thread title as "Hiking Sucks?"” 11:57:04 AM 1/10/07 “Smartwool, Wigwam Ultamax, and the latest I got as a x-mas present is Rohner socks. Made by some company in europe” 12:17:51 PM 1/10/07 “Ingenius are the best socks ever...i think they are a part of wigwam.” 3:56:38 PM 1/10/07 “All I wear are SmartWools...........” 4:11:22 PM 1/10/07 “I have been using SmartWools for several years, but the last couple of years I have started getting more and more heel blisters. So I am going to try using a sock liner under them - I've heard lots of people swear by this system, so I'm going to try it.....” 4:30:41 PM 1/10/07 “Merino wool with a synthetic liner. Brand doesn't matter to me. I get whatever is on sale. The CostCo Merino Wool winter socks they sell once per year are awesome and damn cheap... I learned about them from TT!” 4:32:59 PM 1/10/07 “I'm with Jimmy san on this one. Wool outside, poly inside. Tip - For those of you with sensitive tootsies, wear the liners inside-out. No seams against the skin. Less chance for blistering.” 8:48:28 PM 1/10/07 “Smartwools mainly, but at Gander Mountain I found a Columbia sock that is identical to the Smartwool as far as I can tell. Same color, everything. A little cheaper, so I picked up a couple of pair. Stay away from Underarmour socks. I was issued some at work and they are way too tight on the calf, and not because I have big legs. I have skinny legs. Skinny body period, hence getting stuck with the nickname Stickman.” 9:20:04 PM 1/10/07 “I wear smartwool, and once in a while I wear UA sock liners. They're only ankle high, so I woudn't know about the leg tightness. They fit OK to me. I wear the liners mostly in the winter.” 9:24:24 PM 1/10/07 “ingenuis have a kinda liner built in...looks like a diamond shapped crisscross of diff material (liner material) alone the inside of the sock...they have low cut thinner ones for trail runners and thicker ones for boots...very nice” 10:03:31 PM 1/10/07
