Low down in the Hoosier state

“Ok it's getting confusing with all this talk of Ohio day hikes so here's the deal.
We're hiking the Low Gap trail in INDIANA the weekend of the 20th. All are welcome. It's a 10 mile loop trail with back country camping. This is not a very challenging trip and we will have plenty of time to wander and take it easy. So if there are any beginners, or folks who want to bring older kids etc they will not have any problems, and this would be an excellent opportunity for them to get their feet wet. The current plan is to meet at the park office at about 1000 on Saturday morning. Water should not be a problem, and there is no need for a shuttle. Weather does not look too bad, but bring warm clothes and rain gear just in case. It's Indiana folks, who knows what it's gonna do.

The Low Gap is #7 on the list. It is just south of Martinsville IN. which is SSE of Indy.

“You know, we probably wont actually hit the trail till closer to 1100 (waiting on late arrivals, last minute gear check etc.), so there is a big rock shelter a short way in that may make a purdy place to stop and take lunch. Especially if'n it's raining and what not. It is not far from the bottom of the first hill which is a decent with lots of switch backs. What ever everyone wants. Just a suggestion.”
